Before you spend another dirham, find out where the last one went.
Most marketing problems show up as “we need more leads”. Sometimes that’s true. Often you’re losing the leads you already have, and more traffic only makes the leak bigger. A marketing audit tells you which one it is.
What is a marketing audit?
A marketing audit is a check of every step between a stranger finding you and a client paying you, to see where money gets lost. Forget the report about your logo. A useful audit follows the path of a lead: the ad, the page, the reply, the follow-up, the call, the review.
Why audit before spending more?
You audit first because more budget pushes more people through the same holes. If one step is broken, every extra dirham pays for one more person to fall through it. Plug the biggest hole and the budget you already spend works harder.
Here are the six places to check. Take them in order and write down what you find.
Are your ads reaching the right people with the right message?
They are if the people who write to you can actually buy. Read the last messages that came from your ads. Are those buyers, or people asking if you’re hiring? Then look at the ad itself: can you tell at a glance who it’s for?
If your ads bring clicks and nobody at the end, start with why your ads bring clicks and not clients. Then check the campaign objective, the audience and the offer, or have your Meta ads run for you.
Does your page make people think instead of book?
It does if a visitor can’t see the offer and the next step right away. Open it on your phone, on mobile data. Is the offer obvious? Is there one button? Does the form work? Fill it in and see where it lands. For paid traffic, a landing page built around one offer often settles this.
How long do your replies really take?
They take longer than you think, so measure them. Send a test message at 21:00 and another on a Saturday. Then take your latest leads and compare the time they wrote with the time they got a real answer. “No reply after 6 pm” is a leak, even if you’re excellent before 6 pm.
Who follows up after the first message?
If the answer is “whoever remembers”, nobody does. Take last month’s leads and count how many got a second message. Count how many have a status written down anywhere. If you can’t count, that’s your leak, and it’s what a CRM setup fixes.
How do your sales calls end?
They should end with a decision or a dated next step. If they end in “I’ll think about it” and you never hear back, the leak is on the call. Listen to two people on your team present the same offer. If it sounds like two different companies, they need one script.
Do your happy clients leave reviews?
They do if someone asks them, at the right moment, with a link. Look yourself up on Google. Compare what you see with what your best clients would say. Is there a bad review with no answer? Everyone reads that one.
How do you rank what you find?
You rank leaks by how close they sit to the money and what they cost you each month. A leak near the end of the path, like a call that doesn’t close or a lead nobody answered, hits people you’ve already paid for. Fix that before you buy more traffic.
For each leak, write three things: what to fix, who does it, by when. Without a name and a date, it’s only one more opinion. And don’t try to fix everything this month.
Can you run a marketing audit yourself?
Yes, and this list is enough to start. The limit is that you’re too close to it. You know what your page means, so you can’t see that a stranger doesn’t. An outside pair of eyes helps.
What’s the difference between a free audit and a paid one?
A free audit shows you where you stand, and a paid one gives you the plan. That’s how the Growth X‑Ray works:
- Growth X‑Ray, free: a live audit of your business during the call, plus your questions. A first look at where you’re losing money. It starts and ends on the call. No payment, direct booking.
- Growth X‑Ray Pro, 3,000 MAD HT: a full, in-depth diagnosis. Every leak identified and ranked by priority, and a 90-day action plan: what to fix, who does it, by when. Delivered after the session as a visual plan, a PDF and a video walkthrough.
The full 3,000 MAD HT comes back as credit if you start any WeMint service within 30 days. Not happy with the plan by the end of the session? We rework it once, free. Still not happy? 100% refund.
Start with the free one. By the end of the call, you’ll know if you need more.
